ROYAL CINEMA MARKET PLACE FAVERSHAM

Faversham Film Society is a non–profit making, voluntary organisation that aims to show the best of modern British, American independent and world cinema – films that aren’t normally shown much outside London.

From time to time we also show older, classic films especially if they have been issued in a new print.

The Film Society shows about 24 films a year, always on a Monday night at 7:45pm. We are very lucky to be able to show our films on a big screen at the splendid Royal Cinema, Market Place, Faversham.

All films are accompanied by extensive programme notes and we welcome feedback on films with our after–film reaction slips. Suggestions for future films are also welcome.

Society membership is generally £5 a year though the good news is for 2023 there is no membership fee. You do not need to be a member to come to our films – non members can turn up and buy a ticket and all are welcome. However, we do encourage membership as this helps to cover the costs of our programmes and film notes and to keep the Society going. Members get the latest season’s programme emailed to them with reminders about the next film and the film notes.
